Hostinger Review - The Perfect Ratio Between Performance, Features and Price?

This pen's $5.00 this one's $15 even though they're exactly the same if you had to choose between them you would probably go with the cheaper option it's just better value for your money so why aren't you doing exactly the same thing with your hosting provider well let's review Hostinger claims they're offering as the fastest web hosting at the price nobody can beat if that were actually true they would be the best web hosting company on the market right now so I went ahead and tested their claims to see if they're actually true and here's what I found a 24 month premium plan with the

Hostinger will cost you 83 dollars this includes the domain name and an SSL certificate to make your website secure you'll want to have an SSL certificate because nothing makes users leave your web site faster than a not secure tag in the top corner let's put it all together now for the upcoming two years you'll have unlimited bandwidth 20 gigabytes of SSD storage disk space a domain name and an SSL certificate and all of this for just yeah 83 dollars very quick sidenote I'll use SiteGround and a Hostgator as my comparison for Hostinger because they're very big players on the market right now so I believe this will be an excellent comparison point okay with that out of the way let's get back to the video if you choose to go with SiteGround for the exact same features you'll have to dish out 159 dollars that's a 92% increase in price for virtually the same product still not convinced an identical

plan with Hostgator will set you back 216 dollars that's an insane 160 percent increase in price or as I like to call it more money for the same product however we're all smart consumers we understand that that price isn't everything sometimes you want additional features and you always want the best possible performance so let's see how Hostinger stacks up against other hosting providers in just a minute what immediately stands out is that they don't use the standard cPanel when managing your account Hostinger developed their own version of cPanel that has all of the same functionality but seems to be way more responsive and faster to navigate than the standard cPanel counterpart if you're not a diehard cPanel fan I can guarantee that you will appreciate having this feature and of course you still have such tools as the automatic WordPress installer that's super simple to use and is probably one of the easiest ways to create your website in 2019 fun fact Hostinger claims they have optimizations in place that make WordPress websites load faster since this sounds super cool I gave it a quick test to see if it's actually true all web hosting plans with Hostinger include personal email features meaning you can register a personal email address using your domain name and the email system is pretty straightforward to use so I've just created a new email account and send a test

message to that account in order to see how fast it arrives and no surprise there it was pretty much as fast as I could switch my browsing tabs. Cheap web hosting that supports all of the latest features performance has to be the place where they take a hit right well not exactly and let me show you why. Okay there's a lot of numbers on the screen but what do they actually mean well long story short Hostinger was faster it scored better results in both PageSpeed and YSlow and both Hostinger and SiteGround fully loaded the website in 1.5s the determining factor here being that SiteGround was twice as expensive so why would I pay twice as much for a product that doesn't seem to perform as good as something that only cost me 83 dollars. At this point I thought maybe there's something I'm missing so I used UptimeRobot to monitor the response and uptime of both Hostinger and SiteGround. SiteGround had a very slight advantage in uptime as they scored a 99.99% and this is probably as good as it gets but their response time was 632 milliseconds which is roughly 3.5 times higher than the 162 milliseconds of Hostinger. Keep in mind that Google recommends keeping this number lower than 200 milliseconds at all times for the best performance of course. However there's one more thing I wanted to mention I also wanted to include the Hostgator into these performance tests I simply couldn't because when I'm performing these tests I usually set up a testing website and every time I need a testing website I just buy a new domain so when purchasing my domain with Hostinger and Hostgator I purposely made some mistakes to test their support  team and here's how Hostinger handled my mistake versus how Hostgator helped  me resolve it. To bring you up to speed I bought a testingpurposeshostgator.xyz domain and I knew it will have issues because it contains copyrighted text so just as suspected I couldn't register this domain on my own even though I already paid for it. Just as suggested I've contacted Hostinger support and within minutes they've explained why the issue occurred and offered to fix it right away so I gave them a new domain name and they just changed it quick easy and this whole thing took me less than 15 minutes in total and I even received the cute gif at the end everyone's happy. And, this brings me back to my first point why

wasn't I able to showcase Hostgator results well because I also purchased my hosting plan using a copyrighted domain name with Hostgator and later asked the support staff to change it. Instead of changing it however they immediately banned my account and asked me to pay again even though I've already paid for my services. Later, they asked me to email them a photo of my government-issued ID which I wasn't comfortable doing but did it anyways for this review and after a couple of hours I received another email asking to submit a new domain name as of publishing this review a couple of days later my account is no longer banned but  they weren't able to change the domain name as I requested so one live conversation eight emails and three days later I'm right back where I started compare this to the 15 minutes it took Hostinger to solve exactly the same problem. At this point I can safely say that Hostinger in fact does offer fast reliable and cheap web hosting. However, I'm a firm believer that such a thing as a perfect product or service simply does not exist and

everything has its flaws so here's some of Hostingers. I've really really really tried to dig up some dirt on Hostinger so that this review wouldn't be so one-sided and the several bad things that I could find were some refund policies on their ToS(Terms of Service) meaning some services are not refundable or have limited periods of time to be refunded even though the advertised a 30 day money-back guarantee and the SSL they're offering is called let's encrypt it's actually a free product so they're charging you $12 for a free product as an installation fee. My final score for Hostinger has to be a 9.5/10 just because as I mentioned before I do not believe that such a thing as a perfect product or service actually exists and if someone tells you otherwise they're probably lying to you. So, I want for you to go in the comments down below and share your experiences good or bad with Hostinger and I hope you enjoyed my review I'll see you in the next
